  1. Add Buzzfy

    Paste the server URL into your AI app's connector settings, or add it with a command in a terminal.

  2. Sign in and allow

    Sign in to Buzzfy, or create a free account, and click Allow. Connect Instagram if you haven't yet.

  3. Ask

    In plain words: an audit, your best reels, who's waiting in your DMs.

Preview, then approve

Nothing goes out until you approve it.

Your AI can draft replies, DMs and posts. Buzzfy turns each one into a preview, and nothing reaches Instagram until you tell your AI to send it.

  • You see exactly what will go out, to whom, and when.
  • Each preview comes with a one-time code. It expires after 10 minutes and works once.

Give your AI a public link to your photos or video, or a file in a terminal app like Claude Code. Say when and approve Buzzfy's preview. Buzzfy publishes it on time.

Set up comment‑to‑DM by describing it.

On MAX, your AI can create, change and pause comment-to-DM automations. Each change shows as Buzzfy's preview before it's saved.

  • Describe the rule. The preview shows it in plain words, with both DMs.
  • Once it's on, test it on a comment. Nothing is sent.
  • Pause, resume or change it from the chat, with a preview each time.

Good to know

Up to 60 units a minute and 2,000 a day per account. A read is one unit. Previewing replies to a batch of comments uses one unit per comment, and sending them about two, because Buzzfy checks each one again first. Instagram's own rules still apply: a DM goes to someone who messaged you in the last 24 hours, or as a private reply to a comment from the last 7 days. A free trial can read, not act.

What is the Buzzfy MCP server?

A remote MCP server at https://mcp.buzzfy.co/mcp. It lets your AI app read your Instagram stats, comments and DMs through Instagram's official API. On a paid plan it can also reply, send DMs and post, after you approve a preview.

Which AI apps work with it?

We have step-by-step guides for Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Grok. Any other app that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in can use the same URL.

Is it free?

Reading is free with a Buzzfy account and a connected Instagram. Replies, DMs, comment moderation, posting and scheduling need a paid plan: Standard, Pro or MAX. Comment-to-DM automations need MAX. A free trial can read, not act.

Can my AI post or reply without asking me?

No. Every reply, DM, post, comment action and automation change starts as Buzzfy's preview. Buzzfy tells your AI to show it to you and wait for your yes. Nothing is sent until your AI sends back that preview's one-time code.

How does approving work?

Buzzfy answers your AI with a preview and a one-time code. You read the preview in the chat and say yes or no. Only after a yes does your AI send the code back, and Buzzfy does exactly what the preview showed, once. The code expires after 10 minutes.

Are there limits?

Up to 60 units a minute and 2,000 a day per account, plus Instagram's own limits. A read is one unit. A write's preview counts one unit per reply, DM or post, and sending it counts about two, because Buzzfy checks each one again first.

I don't have a Buzzfy account.

When your AI app asks you to sign in, choose Create one. It's free, and you come straight back to allow the app.

Do I need to install anything?

Nothing from Buzzfy. You add one URL in your AI app, or run two commands in Claude Code or one in Codex.

Do I need an API key or a developer account?

No. Your AI app connects by signing in to Buzzfy. There's no API key to copy and no developer account to set up.

How do I disconnect?

Remove Buzzfy from your AI app's connector or MCP settings. Disconnecting Instagram in your Buzzfy settings also stops every app from reading or acting, but it stops the rest of Buzzfy on that account too.

What does Buzzfy keep?

We record which tool ran, when, from which AI app, and whether it worked. For replies and DMs, we keep ids, not the text. We don't keep what your AI reads. Scheduled posts and automations keep their text so Buzzfy can run them. Uploads are deleted a day after their post is done. Problem reports your AI sends are kept.
