Connect Codex to your Instagram.
One command adds Buzzfy, and Codex opens the sign-in by itself. It takes a few minutes.

Set it up
Add it
Run this in your terminal. Codex saves Buzzfy and opens Buzzfy's sign-in in your browser by itself.

On “Connect Codex to Buzzfy?”, check that Returns to ends with (an app on this computer), then click Allow. If the page closed or timed out, run this to open it again:

Run codex mcp list. buzzfy shows as enabled, with OAuth.

Ask in Codex, or open the ChatGPT desktop app's Codex mode. It uses the same setup, so Buzzfy is already there.

Before anything goes out
Codex can run Buzzfy's reads without asking. Anything that acts comes back as Buzzfy's preview first, and nothing is sent until you say so.

The ChatGPT desktop app's Codex mode reads the same settings file as the Codex CLI, so Buzzfy is already on there, signed in.

If something looks different
The first sign-in timed out
The entry is still saved. Run codex mcp login buzzfy and click Allow on Buzzfy's page.
OpenAI's docs say Settings › MCP servers. Where is it?
In the ChatGPT desktop app it's Settings › Plugins › MCPs. Buzzfy is listed there under Servers, with its toggle on.
A big “rank everything” ask stopped
Every stats lookup counts one unit, and there's a limit of 60 units a minute. Ranking a long stretch of posts can reach it. Wait a minute, or ask about a shorter period.
Does the Codex IDE extension work?
OpenAI's docs say the Codex IDE extension reads the same ~/.codex/config.toml, so Buzzfy is there too.
Buzzfy says Instagram isn't connected
Your AI app is connected, but Instagram isn't yet. Open the connect page and log in on Instagram's own screen with a free Creator or Business account. Then ask again.
How do I remove Buzzfy?
Remove it in your AI app's connector or MCP settings. Disconnecting Instagram in your Buzzfy settings stops every app at once, and the rest of Buzzfy on that account too.
