Buzzfy for ChatGPT

Connect ChatGPT to your Instagram.

Turn on developer mode on chatgpt.com, create an MCP app with Buzzfy's URL, and sign in with Buzzfy. It takes a few minutes.

Set it up

  1. Turn on developer mode

    Settings › Security and login › Developer mode

    Open Settings, then Security and login, and switch on Developer mode. ChatGPT marks it ELEVATED RISK, its own label for adding unverified connectors.

  2. Create the app

    chatgpt.com/plugins › + › Create app › Create MCP App

    On chatgpt.com/plugins, open +, choose Create app, then Create MCP App. Create app only appears once developer mode is on.

  3. Fill in the form

    Name it Buzzfy and paste the URL below into Server URL. Keep Authentication on OAuth and leave Advanced OAuth settings as they are. Tick “I understand and want to continue”, then click Create.

  4. Sign in

    Click Sign in with Buzzfy, and a new window opens. On “Connect ChatGPT to Buzzfy?”, check that Returns to says chatgpt.com, then click Allow.

  5. No tools listed?

    Settings › Plugins › Buzzfy

    After Allow, ChatGPT opens Buzzfy's page in Settings. If its Tools list says “No app tools available yet.”, press Refresh in the Information section.

  6. Pick Buzzfy in the composer

    + › Buzzfy

    In a new chat, open +, type Buzzfy and pick Plugins: Buzzfy. A Buzzfy chip appears in the composer.

  • Check it worked

    Buzzfy's page shows your connected account, and its Tools list has 20 tools.

  • Use it in a chat

    In a new chat, open +, type Buzzfy and pick Plugins: Buzzfy. A Buzzfy chip appears in the composer.

Before anything goes out

ChatGPT runs Buzzfy's reads without asking. Before a write it shows “Allow ChatGPT to use Buzzfy?” with Always allow, Deny and Allow once. Then Buzzfy shows its preview, and nothing is sent until you say so.

What does ChatGPT's ELEVATED RISK label mean?

It's ChatGPT's own label for developer mode, which lets you add unverified connectors. It doesn't change what Buzzfy does: every write still starts as Buzzfy's preview and waits for your OK.

Buzzfy shows no tools

Open Settings › Plugins › Buzzfy and press Refresh in the Information section. The Tools list then fills in.

I don't see Create app

Developer mode is off. Turn it on in Settings › Security and login, then open + on chatgpt.com/plugins again.

ChatGPT drafted a reply but didn't use Buzzfy

If you ask ChatGPT only to prepare a reply, it may write a draft in a canvas instead. Ask it to get Buzzfy's preview, and it calls the tool.

Which ChatGPT plans have developer mode?

OpenAI says developer mode depends on your ChatGPT plan and, in a workspace, on your admin's settings.

Buzzfy says Instagram isn't connected

Your AI app is connected, but Instagram isn't yet. Open the connect page and log in on Instagram's own screen with a free Creator or Business account. Then ask again.

How do I remove Buzzfy?

Remove it in your AI app's connector or MCP settings. Disconnecting Instagram in your Buzzfy settings stops every app at once, and the rest of Buzzfy on that account too.
